Somebody get the Republicans a lollipop

We have a crisis on our hands.  The House Republicans are throwing a hissy fit.  You know, and I would, too, if I’d lost two presidential elections in the last four-and-a-half years.  It hurts these days to be a Republican member of Congress.  It hurts right around where the heart would be — you know, near the center of the ribcage.  No, it’s not heartburn.  It’s the realization that the American people are waking up to the 30+ years of shenanigans the Republicans have pulled in this country.  The rising tide lifts all boats?  Not if most of the boats are sinking.  Voodoo economics?  Thank you, President Reagan, for ushering in 30+ years of voodoo economics that have led to the poor getting poorer, the middle class joining the poor in droves, and the hogs getting fatter, living high on the hog.  This kind of cannibalism ought to be illegal everywhere, not just in civilized countries, but in the United States as well.  So someone hand Mr. Boehner a lollipop.  It is not easy being the Tea Party’s pansy. Poor guy, he’s getting hit from the left, and he’s getting hit from the right.  It’s not easy being the House speaker.  So you can see why he just had to throw a hissy fit and give the majority of the House, including a good number of Representatives of his own party, a headache.  But I don’t blame him.  If Rep. Cruz threatened to spank me again, I’d throw a hissy fit too.
